HoraCerta was born in Coimbra, in a kitchen, after one too many conversations with hairdressers repeating the same sentence: “everything that exists is built for the United States”. This is the story, and how we plan to stay small long enough to do it right.
HoraCerta is an independent operation, focused on a single market: Portugal. There's no marketing department inflating promises, no stakeholder meetings. When you write to suporte@ahoracerta.pt, someone who knows the product inside out replies, same business day.
This is a conscious choice. International platforms serve dozens of countries and none understand why Sunday night is peak booking time in Portugal, or why asking for a tax ID on the first message scares customers away. Knowledge of the Portuguese market sits at the centre of every decision.
HoraCerta has no investors. No Series A around the corner. We're not getting acquired tomorrow by a giant who'll triple the price. Which means the product grows at the speed of usefulness, not the speed of cash burn. Every feature ships because a real salon asked for it, not because of a whiteboard prioritisation meeting.

International platforms charge €1–€2 per online booking. For a salon doing 200 bookings/month, that's €400/year hidden away. We charge a monthly fee. Full stop.

We're not redesigning the UI every six months because it's on trend. New features ship when there's a real problem, validated by more than one salon.
